Jenny Pugh

JP

Jenny has always regarded first aid as an essential life skill, not just when she is on expeditions but in everyday life.  Her introduction to first aid came in 1996 in the form of battle field first aid when she trained in the Bristol University Officers' Training Corps.  She has been improving her skills ever since and 2006 trained with ITC to become a qualified first aid instructor.  She joined forces with Charles Holmes in 2007 to found React First delivering top quality first aid training across the UK.

A former management consultant, she graduated from Bristol University in 2001 with a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with French.  She spent some time as a Professional Kinesiology Practitioner and member of the British Register of Complementary Practitioners in addition to working in software design!

Following a year in France where she discovered outdoor adventure sports she has spent much of her free time over the last ten years in pursuit of adventure.  Rock climbing, mountaineering, canyoning and caving have been the main purpose of Jennifer's travels through remote regions of Europe, Asia, Africa and America.

In 2006 her adventures took a turn for the cold in Arctic Greenland when she was a key member of the Arctic Foxes team. Successfully completing a return crossing of the Greenland ice-sheet, they became the first British Female team to cross and, at 35 days, they probably set the record for the fastest return crossing on skis to date.
