Adult and Paediatric BLS & AED Training (CPR certification)

This short Adult and Paediatric Basic Life Support course with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is ideal for medical professionals needing evidence demonstrating their CPR competence annually.  It meets the April 2023 guidelines for WPBA for GPs.

Course Content

This is a very enjoyable and highly practical first aid course course which uses universal defibrillator training devices.

• Incident Management – a systematic approach to managing first aid incidents and assessing  - adult, child & infant casualties
• Safe Airway Position - adult, child & infant
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) - adult, child & infant
• Safe use of an AED - adult and child
• Chain of Survival
• Choking - adult, child & infant

Course Timings

This course is delivered face to face to provide hands on training and requires 5 hours of classroom time.

Qualification Details

The course is fully assessed and certificates of competence are awarded by the Awarding Organisation ITC First. The certificate title is Adult and Paediatric Basic Life Support and AED Training. Certificates are valid for 3 years following successful completion of the course.

Booking a Course

We can run in-house training at your venue for groups of up to 12 per instructor.  You simply need a room large enough to not only seat everyone but also to allow them to lie on the floor and be rolled around without bumping into furniture or each other.
